We updated the porch floor with Deckorators Mahogany Porch Floor Boards, added beautiful detail to the columns using Azek, non rot material and added traditional white vinyl railings to top it off.

Jason Reid started in the construction business when he was 18 years old framing homes in the Rochester area, he quickly found his talent. Over the years he has worked in various degrees of the construction industry. Picking up after the skilled laborers, swinging the hammer, selling different products to complete home projects to designing and managing the job to completion.
All of these avenues gave him the knowledge to open his own company and be able to share his knowledge and professionalism with YOU, our clients. He has found Rochester, NY to be the city he wants to focus on sharing his knowledge and craftsmanship with. Our Rochesterians are supportive and creative, allowing for his visions to come to life. Jason and Melissa are extremely personable and knowledgeable about their craft. They sat with us during our initial consultation and talked with us…..they didn’t rush into throwing measurements and quotes at us….it felt like they wanted to get to know us. By the end of our time together, we were very comfortable with them as people and as contractors.

It was obvious from the start of the construction phase (addition of a covered deck/porch with ceiling fan, outlets, Bluetooth speakers, lighting and a wall mounted TV) that Jason knew what he was doing and where he thought the project could go. Jason made two suggested changes on day one that we hadn’t thought of and seemed like it would enhance our deck/porch’s appearance and functionality. Jason provided us with a cost estimate on the spot which was reflected in the final bill…nothing more than what he quoted. Jason and Melissa were able to finish our project within the estimated time frame and at what was quoted with upgrades.

The quality of Jason’s work was evident when our project was finished. The space that Jason created off the back of our house seems to fill a void that our home was lacking. It’s truly another living area for our family and our neighbors are asking us about projects they would like done to their homes.

Finally….every review should talk about the contractor’s crew. Jason and Melissa’s crew was outstanding!! My wife felt comfortable with them. They hustled from day one to the end of the project (two of the guys came over on a Saturday to complete a couple of finishing touches)!! They cleaned up the work site at the end of each day. They seemed to enjoy working together even in the extreme heat that we had during the project. They used caution when getting to the work site thru our neighbor’s driveway/yard. And most importantly….they were good people….our neighbor got his riding lawn mower stuck in his flower bed…the crew went over and lifted the mower out for him…..we didn’t find out about this until after the project was completed and we were showing off the end result to our neighbors.
